An agent on your side of the search.

A seller knows the cars they can offer. An independent sourcing brief starts with the car you actually want: its specification, condition, intended use and the compromises you are willing to make.

We are an agent. We do not own the cars in this collection, hold stock or act as the seller. We research suitable possibilities, contact sellers and help you compare the actual examples. Your purchase agreement is with the seller.

That distinction matters. A lower asking price does not automatically make a better purchase. History, condition, inspection findings, delivery and the terms of the transaction all belong in the comparison.

A better brief makes a better search.

A precise brief gives us a useful starting point without locking you into the first model you mention. Tell us what the car needs to do, not only what badge should be on the bonnet.

What a purchase brief should contain
Part of the briefWhat it changes
Model and generationSeparates the car you mean from similarly named variants.
Essential specificationMakes colour, seats, roof, options and steering position explicit.
Intended useDistinguishes a car for regular driving from an occasional or collection purchase.
Budget and locationLets the search account for the purchase price and separate transaction costs.
Condition and historyClarifies whether originality, mileage or documented maintenance matters most.
Timing and flexibilityEstablishes where alternatives are useful and where patience is worthwhile.

For example, not for sale.

“An F8 Tributo for occasional use, with documented servicing, a specification I enjoy and no deadline that forces the wrong purchase.”

This is an illustrative brief, not a completed client transaction. It gives the search a purpose. We would refine the acceptable specification, budget, inspection requirements and any history that needs explaining before presenting options.

The questions behind the photographs.

We can request documents, clarify the seller’s description and coordinate an independent specialist inspection where appropriate. A photograph cannot establish mechanical condition or authenticate a car’s history.

The responsibilities must be clear. The seller supplies the car and its representations. An appropriately qualified inspector provides their findings. We coordinate the agreed search and help you understand the questions that remain. Commission does not replace specialist checks.

  • Confirm the exact vehicle, specification and seller.
  • Review supporting history and any gaps.
  • Agree the inspection scope and separate cost before instructing it.
  • Resolve material questions before committing to the transaction.

The search follows the brief.

If an international search is appropriate, we assess the practical implications with you. Transport, registration, taxes, eligibility and specialist checks can change the value of an apparently attractive option. Country-specific requirements need current advice from the relevant specialists.

We welcome international briefs and agree the reach of each search individually. Availability, delivery and the practical requirements are confirmed for the specific car and destination.

The fee, before the search.

Our commission is 10–20%, capped at 20%, agreed upfront and payable when the agreed deal is completed. Before work begins, we agree the scope, rate, calculation base, payer and completion point. Any seller or operator commission is disclosed before you commit.

Vehicle or hire charges, deposits, inspections, delivery and other costs are separate unless expressly included. Our enquiry minimum is 5,000 in your selected currency: GBP, EUR or USD. This is a search budget, not a promise that a particular car is achievable at that amount.

Read how the commission works.

A few questions.

Can I request an exact specification?

Yes. Tell us which details are essential and which are preferences. The search can then distinguish a close alternative from an unacceptable compromise.

What if a suitable car is not found?

We discuss feasibility before agreeing the work. Our commission is payable on the agreed completed deal; any separately authorised third-party costs must be explained in advance.

Can I enquire about a car shown on the homepage?

Yes, as an indication of what you like. The pictures are inspiration, not advertised stock.

Do you also arrange hire searches?

Yes. Use the long-term or short-term hire option in the enquiry form, or choose “Not sure yet”.
