One trip, several decisions.

A stay centred on Monaco, a base in Nice and a trip that continues along the coast are different briefs. Start with the overnight stops and the collection and return points. The car choice follows those decisions.

Monaco and France are separate destinations. Any intended travel between them belongs in the hire brief and must be accepted under the operator’s terms. Do not assume proximity means automatic permission.

Separate the arrival from the driving.

Visit Monaco identifies Nice Airport as an arrival option for the principality. Decide whether you want to investigate collection around arrival, or travel to your accommodation first and begin the hire there. Neither option establishes a delivery arrangement until an operator confirms it.

An airport arrival with substantial luggage and a two-seat sports car can be an awkward match. Our recommendation is to decide how the luggage reaches the accommodation before choosing the car around the photograph. Arrival time, delays, handover hours and an agreed meeting point should also be part of the enquiry.

Three ways to shape the search.

These are editorial recommendations, not road-test findings or claims about cars currently available. A convertible can be part of the brief, but roof configuration, luggage and the conditions of the actual car still need checking.

Parking belongs in the brief.

Ask the property about the actual entrance, ramp, parking space and access procedure. The name of a hotel or a description such as “private parking” does not establish that a low, wide car will suit it.

If you want handover at a hotel or residence, we can investigate the request. The operator and property must agree the location and timing. We do not imply a standing arrangement with either.

Keep the itinerary honest.

Tell us if the trip moves beyond a single base. List the countries, overnight stops, rough mileage and whether you want a different return location. A one-way return, territorial permission and additional distance can materially change the quote.

For a trip built around an event, give us the dates and access requirements. A car arriving in a city does not confer admission to an event, access to a restricted street or permission to park at a venue.

What to include in your Riviera enquiry.

  • Arrival point, preferred collection point and return location.
  • Dates, duration and whether the trip crosses borders.
  • Passengers, luggage and expected distance.
  • Preferred cars and acceptable alternatives.
  • Full-period budget, before commission and other costs.

The enquiry opens with Monaco and the French Riviera as a suggestion. Change it to your precise destination. See how the service works for the agent’s role and our 10–20% commission, agreed upfront and payable on completion.

A few questions.

Can I collect in France and return in Monaco?

We can investigate the request. Cross-border use, one-way return, charges and handover arrangements must be confirmed by the relevant operator.

Is the pictured car available for my dates?

The photograph is inspiration only. Availability and the actual vehicle are established during the search.

Can a hotel receive the car?

Potentially, but both the property and operator must agree the practical arrangements. Mention the request in your brief.
